Less Chemicals for Prosecco
Last week the prosecco valley of Valdobbiadene saw the dawn of a new era of porsecco cultivation as the local Mayor, Mr. Zambon announced on the 16th of September that he will be passing a new law. According to the new legislation, the Prosecco grapes cultivators will be bound under law to use a moderate amount of chemicals in the vineyards.
Backing this news, Mr. Pietro Giorgio Davi, the spokesperson of the Local Agricultural Authority, made a definite statement that the new regulation is heading through progress. The law will very soon be officially proclaimed to ensure ample protection of the valuable prosecco grapes. As a unanimous verdict it was decided in the meeting that from now onwards the prosecco cultivators in the Valdobbiadene region, will have to aptly abide by the levels allowed in the National Permitted Quotas when using chemicals in their wine-yards.
